Helen Ahlstrom Stacey, 87, of Wallingford, formerly of East Haven for many years, passed away on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. Helen was the wife of the late John R. Stacey, Sr. Helen was born in New Haven on January 5, 1928; daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Marie Swanson Ahlstrom; had worked as a sales associate for Macy’s Department Store; was an active member of the Wallingford Senior center and was an avid Red Sox fan. Mother of John “Jack” (Susan) Stacey, Susan Clare Stacey, Barbara (Rick) Ralston, Kelly (Rich) Ross, and the late Robyn Stacey Mappa. Also survived by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Lillian.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 9:15 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Church of the Resurrection at 10 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Healthcare, 199 Park Rd. Ext.
