Daniel V. Dellisola, 84, of North Haven, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at St. Raphael’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Gloria H. Pockino Dellisola. Daniel was born in New Haven on May 20, 1927, son of the late Vincent L. and Jessie Esposito Dellisola. Daniel owned and operated Del Acres Poultry Farm until 1967, then worked at Pratt and Whitney and owned and operated Del Acres Package Store until his retirement. Daniel was a member of the Knights of Columbus, New Haven. Father of Debra (Robert) Reynolds of Winchester, CT, James (Diane Collins) Dellisola of East Haven and Dennis (Cynthia Koczak) Dellisola of North Haven. Grandfather of Nathan (Laila) Reynolds, Caitlyn Reynolds and Vincent Dellisola. Brother of Anna Marie Dellisola of New Haven and the late Albert Dellisola.
His Funeral Procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis Cabrini Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-7 PM. I enjoyed knowing Gloria and Dan for a number of winters in FL. We stayed at the same motel/resort for at least 7 years. I miss them both. Now I know they no longer miss each other. My prayers are with the family. They loved you all.
