Julia D. Cacace Cappetta, 90, of Wallingford, formerly of Corey Road, North Haven passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden. She was the wife of 55 years to the late Joseph C. Cappetta. Born in New Haven on April 28, 1921; a daughter of the late Dominic and Concetta Delmonaca Cacace. Julia had worked for the former National Folding Box; the former A.C. Gilbert and the former Forest Grove Pharmacy of North Haven. She was a former Girl Scouts Leader for many years; a member of the Children of Mary Sodality; an active parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church having been a member of their women’s club, bowling league and an aide at their nursery school. Mother of Roberta (David) Kania of Wallingford and Susanne (Stephen) Sagaties of Meriden. Grandmother of Naval Lt. Anthony (Kristal) Kania of Oak Harbor, WA, Rebecca and Joseph Kania both of Wallingford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Liberato, Vincent and Anthony Cacace, Lucy DeFrancesco, Mammie Lincoln and Dora Marindino. A special “Thank You” to Jane DePaola and Gail Six for all their kindnesses to mom.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm.
