Alfred E. Damone, 88, of North Haven, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Stephens) Damone. Alfred was born in Galesburg, IL on July 21, 1927; son of the late John and Mary Damone. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Al worked for many years at Cablewave and Instant Buttons. He was an avid ESPN fan-watching football, golf and tennis. His family was most important to him and he would do anything for them. His beloved children – Christopher Damone (fiancé Shannon Badamo), Tracy Van Oss (Vinnie), Michael and Johnny Damone. His grandchildren – Christopher, Gianna, Dylan and Jessica loved their (pop-pop).
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday evening at 7:00. Family and friends may call from 5 until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
