William A. Tedeschi, 91, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, CT formerly of Ezra Street, North Haven, CT passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Masonicare Health Care Center, Wallingford, CT. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Betsy Lane Tedeschi. Born in Plymouth, Massachusetts on March 6, 1920; son of the late Amedeo and Adelaide Guidoboni Tedeschi. Mr. Tedeschi received his Bachelor, Master and 6th Year degrees from Boston University; he was an educator in Plymouth, Milton and Bridgewater Mass. before moving to North Haven, CT. In North Haven, CT Mr. Tedeschi was the Principal of the former Temple Street School for two years, Ridge Road School for twenty years and Montowese School for three years until his retirement. He had served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during WW II; was a member of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge #103 A.F. & A.M. of North Haven; was a Phi Beta Kappa; was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church; lead a very active life as an accomplished pianist; was a member of the “Survivors†which is a local band that plays every Friday from North Haven to Wallingford. Father of Kenneth Tedeschi and his wife Barbara of Branford, Terri Tedeschi and her husband Paul Bacon of Bow, NH. Grandfather of Thomas, Samantha and Ian Guertin, John and David Tedeschi. Brother of Alfred Tedeschi and his wife Jeanette of Longmeadow, MA, and the late Robert Tedeschi.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Monday morning at 10:00 am to attend a mass of Christian burial. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plymouth, Mass. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 110 Barnes Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT has been entrusted with Mr. Tedeschi’s arrangements.

A very dear man who enlightened every one he met. Bill will be very greatly missed. I played guitar with Bill in the Surviors and enjoyed every minute we were together. He will always be remembered by all his friends. My heart goes out to Betsy and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Bill.
