My eulogy from church :
Grampa, Words cant even begin to describe how much my heart hurts now that your gone. Its not the same here without you, i wish we all can live forever. I missed you so much on Christmas eve and i missed our talks we would always have outside after dinner drinking homemade wine. Grandma, Anthony and me tried to make the sauce but it would never come out like you made it. We all tried to be so strong on Christmas for Gramma and Daddy, but it was so hard to do because your place at the table was empty. I want to say thank you for saving money for us this year for Christmas, it brought us to tears and we couldnt believe it! I know everyone says to remember the good times, but its so hard to do right now. I will miss your laugh and your jokes and telling me everytime i walked into the house to lock that storm door. I will miss sitting around the table after dinner just telling stories and jokes and just laughing. I think the thing i will miss the most is saying I love you everytime before you would hand the phone to Gramma…or how me and alyssa would fight over who was your favorite but i know you loved all of us the same.. Someone said to me that you were a man of few words, but when you spoke everyone was quiet and listened. The wisdom and words you left with us will live on forever. I thank you for giving me the best father in the world and the greatest uncle anyone could ever ask for. If it wasnt for you, Gramma and Daddy i dont know where we would be. Thank you for showing us how big your heart really was whenever we needed it the most. I will try my best to take care of Gramma for you and make sure shes always doing okay. Im glad you got to enjoy that beautiful sunset the day before you passed away. The look on your face drinking the beer i will remember forever, you were so happy to have that beer. I hope you are happy in Heaven with Uncle Anthony, he was probably so happy to see u . Remember what me and Anthony said to you in the hospital, that we are all so proud of you, and u asked why? And i said because we all look up to you, well it was true and i hope you know that. This has taught me to try and start to Enjoy the little things in life, because one day you will look back, and realize they were the big things, but im so glad we got to enjoy all the little things with you. We love you so much and will never forget you Grampa. <3 <3 <3
Robert Pace was a loving, gentle, caring man. He always smile no matter what, and he always reminded you to be happy because someone else has it worse. We all can learn something from Robert and that is to love each other and enjoy everyday, and live your life everyday because you never know. Out deepest sympathy to the Pace family, we love them all dearly. We will miss him very much, but we will hold on to the precious moment we had with him. We love you and will miss you dearly. Love Soty & Andy DeLieto
