Dolores A. Pacchiarelli Rappa, 73, of Hamden passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Hamden Health Care Center. She was the former wife of William M. Rappa. Born in New Haven on October 27, 1938; a daughter of the late John and Dirce Pacchiarelli. Dolores and her former husband were the former owner and operators of Michael Rappa LTD of Glastonbury. Mother of Rosemarie A. Hughes of Hamden and the late John Scott Rappa. Grandmother of Thomas Michael Hughes III and Morgan Lee Hughes. Sister of Delcie (Ray) LePage of Wallingford, Rosalie (Dominic) Cicerchia of Woodbridge and the late Pena Corso.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Wednesday evening at 7:00. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.

Dolores and I were High School friends at Boardman Trade School in New Haven, CT.
I have visited Dolores at the Hamden Health Center every time I visited family in Connecticut ( I live in North Carolina) and shared lots of good memories. She was one of my good friends while in school along with Frances Scirocco.
I was very saddened to hear of Dolores’ passing, she had a long hard life in the past years, she is now at rest and peace.
