Lois Coyle Verboski, 77, of Foxon Hill Road, East Haven passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 peacefully at her home. She was the wife of the late Joseph Verboski, Jr. Born in New Haven on July 7, 1934; daughter of the late Francis and Bertha Lederer Coyle. A graduate of Eli Whitney School of Nursing; she had worked as an LPN at Yale-New Haven Hospital for many years until her retirement and later attended the Mary Wade Adult Day Care Center. Her family, especially her grandchildren were her life; she will surely be missed. Beloved mother of Patti (Pete) Nuzzo, Diane Barboza all of East Haven, Cathy Thomas of Tequista, FL and the late Joseph F. Verboski. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Sean) Shauvin, Justyne Nuzzo, Bryan Barboza, Steven and Danielle Massaro and the late Matthew Barboza. Predeceased by a sister Joan Halligan. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff at the Mary Wade Adult Day Care Center, the CT Hospice Homecare and Yale-New Haven Hospital, Floor 7-5 for all the excellent care given to Lois, and especially to her devoted and loving caregiver Teresa Nadalno.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Friday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 8:30 to 11:00 am. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
