Mary Patrick Davis, 91, formerly of North Branford, died peacefully on February 13, 2015 at the Regency House in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Davis Jr. Mary was born in New Haven on October 15, 1923, to the late Michael and Marion (Altieri) Patrick. She worked for many years at the former AC Gilbert Company in New Haven, where she was one of the original "Gilbert Girls." She also worked at the Atwater Memorial Library in North Branford. Mary was an avid reader, bridge player, and enjoyed traveling with her friends. Mary is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Alan and Karen Davis of Wallingford, Robert and Christine Davis of Durham, and Scott Davis of West Haven; her granddaughters, Melissa Davis of Chicago, Megan Davis of Durham and Alison Davis of Wallingford; and her great-grandson, Jaxxon. Mary's family wishes to thank the Regency House staff for their excellent care and kindness.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 11:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Atwater Memorial Library, 1720 Foxon Road, North Branford, CT 06471.

Mrs. Davis was a great host to me no matter how many days per week I visited years ago. Her macaroni salad became a staple of my memorable meals over her house. Sunday football games with a steady supply of snacks were a real treat. I'll hang onto those fond memories of her.
