Elena Cochiaro Brazee, 90, of 111 South Shore Drive, East Haven, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Rutlage J. Brazee. Born in New Haven on April 28, 1921; daughter of the late Vincent and Amalia Barbieri Cochiaro. Elena was a devoted wife and mother, she and her husband had an adventurous life together having traveled to many places. Mother of Brian Brazee of Panama City Beach, FL and the late Judith Ellen Brazee. Sister of Mary Brown and Carmela “Connie†Brazee both of Palm Bay, FL. and the late Florence Ardito, Gloria Schettino, Anthony, Pasquale, Frederick and Arthur Cochiaro. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great I nephews.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 9:30. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church, North Haven at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
