Charles DePino, Jr., 68, of East Haven, passed away on Friday March 9, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of Alice E. Woodward DePino. Born in New Haven on Jan. 24, 1944; son of the late Charles and Theresa Arcura DePino, Sr. He had worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years. Father of Deana (Joe) Buffington of Wallingford and Charles (Linda) DePino, III of Milford. Grandfather of Joseph & Gabrielle Buffington and Hannah DePino. Brother of Rachel DiBiase, Frank DePino and Judy, Judy Benoit and Ken, Joseph (Andrea) DePino, Richard DePino and Lucia, Theresa (Dom) Comfort. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Tuesday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent DePaul Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm. So sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. My mother Rose and Charlie’s Dad were cousins and the last time I saw Charlie was at Aunt Clara’s funeral. Thinking of you during this difficult time.
I was so saddened by the passing of Charlie…..he was a sweet, kind and quiet man, that loved his family so much. e was a man of few words, but had a smile for everyone he met. My condolences to Alice, Charles lll (and his wife), Deanna (husband Joe). Grandchildren. Joseph, Jr, Gabrielle (Gabby) and Hannah. rest in peace my friend.
