Roselyn Burkhard Kelsey, 90, beloved wife of the late Douglas K. Kelsey died on October 20, 2015 in Fairfield Glade. Born in East Haven, CT on November 16, 1924 to Rosa S. and George J. Burkhard she lived most of her life very gratefully in New Haven & North Haven CT. Eventually retiring from Sears Roebuck in Hamden, she and her husband moved to Port Charlotte, FL to enjoy a new life with family and friends. Locally she volunteered for 18 years at Fawcett hospital and then another 10 years with the Port Charlotte School System. She was also a member of the B.P.O.E #2153. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews especially Roselyn Katzung whom she made her home with and most supporting nephew Roger Kane and wife Margaret of Cornwall, CT. Roselyn was predeceased by her very special family, her beloved husband Douglas, her parents, two sisters Edna (William) Sherman and Helen (Arthur) Kane and a most exceptional brother George.
There will be no calling hours and joint burial will be in North Haven Center Cemetery on November 7, 2015.
