Mary G. Coiro, 88, of 118 Clinton Avenue, New Haven formerly a Downing Street, New Haven, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Mary Wade Home. Mary was born in New Haven on May 19, 1923; a daughter of the late Francis and Teresa Gentile Coiro. Mary was a draftswomen in New Haven; was a very active parishioner and member of the choir at St. Francis Church. Sister of Gloria (Richard) Woreth of East Setaucket, NY, Rita (Vincent) Gangi of North Haven and the late Julia T. Coiro, Anthony J., Thomas E. and Ettore S. Coiro. Also survived by senventeen nieces, nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 10:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Francis Church, New Haven at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. My beloved Aunt Mary was a treasure in many ways. With her gentle, refreshing view of the world, she often put a smile on my face.
She will be missed.
