Beverly Allen Ginter, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully at the Montowese Health & Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Bev was born on May 23, 1932 in New Haven; daughter of the late Eugene E. Allen, Sr. and Bertha Beaumont Allen. She graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1950 and from Southern Connecticut State College in 1954. Bev worked in the North Haven School System as a regular teacher and as a substitute teacher for over 35 years. Bev also spent many years volunteering at the First Congregational Church of Wallingford as a church clerk for over 30 years, editor of the Spire for many years, Senior Deacon, various other committees including fair chairman and spent 67 years singing in the adult choir. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Harold E. Ginter, Jr. a daughter Betsy-Sue Eisenman (Robert), sons Kurt Ginter (Lynn) and Brett Ginter (Karen), grandchildren Kristin, Bryan and Matthew Eisenman, Shawn Ginter and Allison Hoagland (Jason), great grandchildren Tim and Briana Hoagland. Sister-in-law of Mary Allen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Eugene E. Allen, Jr. and a sister Phyllis Reed. The family would like to extend a “Special Thank You” to all the nurses and staff at Montowese Health & Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care and comfort they provided to Bev during her stay especially nurse Janice and Reisa.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning, Nov. 23rd at 11:00 with the Rev. Dean Warburton officiating. Interment will follow at the North Haven Center Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday, Nov. 22nd from 3 to 6 pm. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 23 South Main St., Wallingford, CT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bev’s honor may be made to the First Congregational Church, 23 South Main St., Wallingford, CT 06492.
My deepest condolences to the entire Ginter family for the loss of Beverly Ginter. I knew the family in the 70's and remember how welcome I felt by Mrs. Ginter and family. I also hope that Betsy-Sue gets well soon.

I knew her sister Phyllis Reed she was in the same nursing home my grandmother was up in Derry New Hampshire they are now both resting in Peace now I’m also sorry to hear about your loss may god be with you and your family
