Joseph A. Siniscalchi, 89, of North Haven, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. He was the husband of Rose Consiglio Siniscalchi. Born in East Haven on November 10, 1922; son of the late Joseph and Louise Naccarato Siniscalchi. Joseph was a graduate of the Paier and Yale School of Arts; had worked as a Display Director for the former Edward G. Malley, Co. for 28 years; later working for the former Henry G. Thompson Co. which became Sandvik and later had worked for Northeast Graphics. He had served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during WWII; had played semi-pro football and East Haven Sandlot ball; was a member of the American Legion and was a member of the Improved Order of Redman. Father of Joseph P. Siniscalchi of North Haven and the late David Siniscalchi. Predeceased by a brother Carmen Siniscalchi and sisters, Marion Bayerle, Joanne Billotta and Louise Brenner. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the Masonicare Health Center and especially to all the girls on Wooster 3.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
