Dorothy J. Palmisano Cavadini, 85, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Sanctuary of St. Paul’s, Southbend, Indiana with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Cavadini. Dorothy was born in New Haven on January 17, 1931; daughter of the late Pasquale and Johanna Verderame Palmisano; had worked as a paralegal for many years; enjoyed painting and displaying her paintings with the North Haven Art Guild; enjoyed going to the North Haven Senior Center where she loved to play scrabble. Mother of John C. Cavadini and his wife Nancy, Michael D. Cavadini, James F. Cavadini and the late Juliane Cavadini McGinnis. Also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Theresa Carruthers.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
