Catherine Cosenza Spina, 97, formerly of West Haven, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Paradigm Healthcare Center of West Haven. She was the wife of the late John R. Spina. Born in Columbus, Ohio on October 21, 1914; daughter of the late Gaetano and Concetta Maranco Cosenza. Catherine had worked at the West Haven Senior Center. Mother of John (Ann) Spina of Clinton, Alfred (Annette) Spina of Delray, FL and Geraldine (Edward) Flanders of Ladson, SC. Sister Anthony (Yolanda) Cosenza of Branford and the late Alphonso Cosenza, and Theresa Lauber. Also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience. There will be no visiting hours.
