Teodoro DiSorbo, 76, of Blacks Road, Cheshire, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden. He was the husband of Mariannina DiSorbo since their marriage in 1958. Born in Ruviano, Italy on January 9, 1936; son of the late Stefano and Domenica SantaBarbara DiSorbo. Teodoro came to this country in 1956 and was the original owner of DiSorbo’s Bakery in New Haven for 39 years. He was President of the St. Leone Society. Father of Stefano (Olimpia) DiSorbo, Domenico (Virginia) DiSorbo, Antonio (Anne) DiSorbo and Leone DiSorbo. Grandfather of Matthew, Brittany, Thomas, Sabrina and Samuel. Brother of Luigi DiSorbo and the late Giovanni and Rafael DiSorbo. Brother-in-law of Ester, Angelina & Linda DiSorbo.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church, New Haven at 10:00. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Teodoro’s name be made to the Alzheimer Association, CT Chapter(Alz.Org), 2075 Silas Dean Hwy, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
