Marie B. Raulfs DeMartino, 85, of Boston Road, Middletown, formerly of Crickett Court, North Haven, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Leo DeMartino. Born in New York City on January 4, 1927; daughter of the late Henry and Leopoldina Paterka Raulfs. Marie was a “Friend of Loisâ€. Mother of Joseph Gansley, James (Veronica) Gansley, Marian (Phillip) Norman, Kathleen (Charles) Montagnon, Raymond (Marianne) Gansley, Rita (Jon) Foster, Michael (Andrea) Gansley, Robert (Michele) Gansley. Also survived by seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Katherine Colapinto.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ann’s Soup Kitchen, 930 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06514.
Knowing our dad had a wonderful companion for the last 30+ years was a great comfort to us. Her warmth and caring nature and her kind hospitality during our
visits was much appreciated.
