Paul C. Jacques, Jr., 57, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2014. Born in New Haven on July 21, 1957; son of Norma Ursini Jacques and the late Paul C. Jacques, Sr. Father of Nicole and Taylor Jacques, Alphonse (Melissa) Jacques and the late Jordan M. Jacques. Brother of William Jacques, Deborah Tropiano and Denise (Joe) Verrillo. Grandfather of Tyler Jacques, Gabrielle Cunha and the late Matthew “Matt” Jacques.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington, Thursday evening at 8:00. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm until time of service. Please omit flowers and make all contributions to the family of Paul C. Jacques, Jr. c/o Deborah Tropiano, 35 Scott Street, Hamden, CT 06514. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to everyone, close and extended family and friends. At 33, I have wonderful memories of Paul teaching me about the Chicago Bulls, giving me basketball cards and telling me stories when my cousins Taylor and Jordan were born, and I was barely 12 years old. He always treated me well and loved his kids… He was a good man, and i'll miss our conversations, whenever they would occur. Love to all, be strong. Be with your son, Paul, we'll see you both on the other side.

I met Paul when he coached Hamden Father basketball. He was my son Christopher's coach. He was an excellent role model for the boys and a kind and gentle person. He impressed me as a loving father. He was a very special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and the family.

I meet Paul at the Ronald McDonald House in Boston when both my son Sean and Jordan were in thier battles with cancer. Sadly, both young men have passed. I remember how Paul would be so attentive to all the children and play many games of Candy Land with my younger son and another child, Aiden, who also has died from cancer. Paul was a very generous and kind man, who showed alot of strength during those terrible difficult days. So sorry to hear of his passing.

So sad….the first time I met Paul was about 20 years ago I was Rally the Raven and was at a benefit at the Hamden McDonalds for his son Jordan..a special family that has been through so much. RIP my friend.
