Nicholas Raymond Gabucci, 26, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven on October 5, 1987 he was the beloved son of Raymond M. and Sheila Connell Gabucci. Nicholas was a 2006 graduate of Hamden High School; attended Central State and Southern Connecticut State Universities and was studying culinary arts. He was very active with little league baseball in his earlier years, played lacrosse at Hamden High School, was a NY Mets and Rangers fan. Loving brother of Christian T. Gabucci. Beloved grandson of Timothy and Anne Connell, Raymond A. and Lucy Gabucci. Loving nephew of Susan and Matthew Marchini, Judith and Jon Northway, Donna Salvi and Jason Gabucci. Also survived by many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden on Friday morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New England Organ Bank, 60 1st Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I only met Nicholas once visiting Lucy, he was so loving and kind, his smile lit up the room. I will never forget him. May you rest in peace Nicholas.
