Jane F Purcell, 72, of 1400 Hartford Turnpike, North Haven, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Hospital of Saint Raphael. Born in New Haven on October 18, 1939; daughter of the late Peter and Helen Kenney Purcell. Jane was raised in the Hill section of New Haven and had worked in the Patients Account Department at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and prior to that had worked at the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroads. Sister of Peter (Patricia) Purcell of Wallingford and Beatrice Purcell of North Haven. Aunt of Patti (Joe) Townsend and their children Kayleigh & Joe, Jr.; Pam (Erik) Lyons and their children Braydon & Selbie; Peter (Lori) Purcell and their children Michael, Peter & Alexa.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Wednesday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday (TODAY) from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
