Elsie L. Glover Pirovane, 89, of Ridge Road, North Haven passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was wife of the late Angelo Pirovane. Born in Southport, England on May 5, 1922; daughter of the late Harry and Letitia Glover. Elsie was and avid reader; enjoyed gardening; in her earlier years loved to sew making many of her childrens clothing as well as clothing for others; was Past President of the Hamden Garden Club; member of the Persian Gulf Command Ladies Auxillary; was a chairperson for the North Haven Women’s Club from 1958-1960 and a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Mother of Joseph (Diana) Pirovane and Frank (Judy) Pirovane. Grandmother of Dana, Nathan and Joseph Pirovane. Sister of Vera Zavanaiu, Maureen Jennings and the late Jim Graham Glover and George Glover.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 10:30. Funeral services will be conducted in St. John’s Episcopal Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 to 8 pm.
