Enrico “Harry” Affinito, 85, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the St. Raphael Campus/Yale New Haven with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of the late Mary V. Kalaha Affinito.  Harry was born in New Haven on June 22, 1931; son of the late William and Antoinette Mattei Affinito; he had worked as a Meat Cutter all his life having last working for Foremost Foods.  Harry was an excellent artist and loved to draw pictures for family and friends and later sent his art to the Boston Children’s Hospital for their enjoyment.  He was an avid New York Rangers fan, New York Yankees fan and sometimes a Cincinnati Reds fan.  Father of Elizabeth (Dale) Holycross, Marie (Craig) Barnes, Bill Affinito and Bob Affinito.  Grandfather of Ryan and Aimee Holycross, Stephanie (Rob) Bernier and Kayla Barnes.  Great-Grandfather of Emily Forero.  Brother of Lorraine Affinito and the late Marion Bradley, Connie McGray and Phyllis Daley.

Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Friday morning at 11:00 with Pastor George Manakis officiating.  Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
