Jean Ann Kyc Long, 90, of 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, formerly of Hartford Turnpike, North Haven, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Timothy Michael Long. Born in New Haven on November 13, 1921; daughter of the late Michael and Mary Koza Kyc and had worked as a nurses aide during World War II. Mother of Carol (James) Rienhardt of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Kathryn (Carl, Jr.) Asman and Michael T. Long all of North Haven. Grandmother of Matthew (Emily) Rienhardt, Alan Reinhardt, Allison (Gregory) Geaski and Carl (Amanda) Asman III. Great-grandmother of Oceanus and Starlettah Rienhardt, Gregory Geaski, Jr., Lauren Geaski and Kathryn Lynn Asman. Sister-in-law of Thomas (Judy) Long of Newington. Cousin of Michael (Paula) Kurylo of North Haven. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Pauline Novicki and a brother Leonard Kyc.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:30. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
