Mary I. Moisio Ferraro, 91, of Meriden, formerly of Hamden for many years, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the CT Baptist Home, Meriden. She was the wife of the late Anthony A. Ferraro. Mary was born in New Haven on October 7, 1923; daughter of the late Carlos and Marina Marletto Moisio and had worked as a seamstress in the New Haven area for many years. Mary was an avid UCONN Huskies Girls basketball and NY Yankees fan, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word searches and reading her daily newspaper. Mother of Denise (Scott) Gilmore and Anthony J. (Cheryl) Ferraro. Grandmother of Ryan and Patrick Gilmore, Karissa and Talia Ferraro. Predeceased by a sister Ann Davenport. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the excellent comfort and care given to Mary from all the nurses and staff of the CT Baptist Home and the Franciscan Hospice, Meriden.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Baptist Home, 292 Thorpe Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
