Louise Scarano D’Urso, 97, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Whitney Manor, Hamden.  She was the wife of the late Vincent J. D’Urso, Sr.  Louise was born in New Haven on November 28, 1917; daughter of the late Dominico and Emma Romano Scarano and had worked as a seamstress for the former Bilco and  Robbie Len.  Louise was a member of the Jolly Timers, an avid NY Yankees fan, loved to dance and had served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Therese Church.  Mother of Vincent J. (Lorraine) D’Urso, Jr. and Emma “Jackie” (Carmen) Dalia.  Grandmother of Vincent J. D’Urso III, Mark D’Urso, Lena (John) Nolan and Joell (John) Pine.  Great-Grandmother of Nikko, Tyler, Hunter, Zackary and Jacob D’Urso, John and Jenna Pine.  Sister of Emma Gulino, Margaret “Dolly” Lendroth, Dominick (Mary) Scarano and the late John, Maggie, Pasquale and Louis Scarano.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 11:00.  Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Monica Church, Northford at 11:30 am.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
