John Joseph Swinkoski, 77, of Quinnipiac Avenue, North Haven passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of 55 years to Mary H. Wilk Swinkoski. Born in Plymouth, PA on July 10, 1934; son of the late John and Loretta Domalavage Swinkoski. John had served his country faithfully in U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War; had worked as a machine operator at Pratt & Whitney for many years until his retirement; was a member of the American Legion and was an avid Green Bay Packer and Baltimore Orioles fan. Father of Edward Swinkoski of Wallingford and David Swinkoski of Newington. Grandfather of Stephen (Julia) Swinkoski and Andrew Swinkoski. Great-Grandfather of Cody Swinkoski.
Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services and interment will be private. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
Since we have known your family, you all have had a tremendous spirit in continuing with family, and making the best out of a difficult situation.

I was so sorry to hear about Dad. I really liked him and was already missing seeing him while he was bed ridden. We always talked when he was outside.
