Francis J. “Frank” Kruglik, 80, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Barbara Butler Kruglik.  Frank was born in Bronx, New York on December 10, 1932; son of the late Thomas and Nellie Eismont Kruglik; obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees from Southern Connecticut State University and was a teacher for the Wallingford School System for 38 years until his retirement.  Frank was a member of the American Federation of Teachers, the Wilsonian Catholic Men’s Club, the Pine Grove Men’s Club Association, served as principal of the C.C.D. program at St. Barnabas Church, was a Justice of the Peace, member of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee and served on the Board of Appeals.  Frank was a singer with the City of Elms Barbershop Quartet, was past president of the North Haven School PTA and was “Teacher of the Year” in the early 1970’s.  Beloved father of Debbie Kruglik (Carla Birmingham who has helped our family through a very difficult time), Kathleen (Andrew) Giordano and Peter (Gina) Kruglik.  Loving grandfather of Michael Giordano, Kristen, Christopher, Kyle, Brian and Kaitlyn Kruglik.  Predeceased by brothers John, Steven and Peter Kruglik.  The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital for the excellent comfort and care they provided to Frank.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven Monday morning at 10:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Hospital, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT  06106 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Hwy., #100, Rocky Hill, CT  06067.
