Helen “Lil†Clemente Landino, 90, of Hamden, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of 64 years as of June 28th, 2012 to George J. Landino. Born in Waterbury on July 5, 1921; daughter of the late Charles and Helen DeRienzo Clemente. Lil loved gardening, dancing, music, singing, but most of all her family who brought her so much joy and happiness. Mother of Barbara (John) Burns of Wallingford and Susan Landino of Hamden. Grandmother of Michelle (William) Millington and Jennifer (David) Parmelee. Great-grandmother of Kayla, Connor and Lauren Parmelee, Jacob and Joshua Millington. Sister of Lorraine (Robert) Traver of Woodbury, Grace Clemente of Waterbury and the late Sarah Clemente and Marilou DiManno.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Helen’s memory to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or the family asks that an act of kindness be performed.
My beautiful Grammie – you will forever be my hero as your strength and beauty are unmatched. You did so much for me in your unselfish manner and I will never forget all of our beautiful memories together. I love you so much and wish you peace until we all meet again..
