Evelyn Raynor Jabaut, 85, formerly of Oakwood Drive, North Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Jean Jabaut. Evelyn was born in New Haven on September 8, 1928; daughter of the late William and Mary Malone Raynor; attended Paier School of Art; had worked for the SNET Company for many years until her retirement; was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church where she was a lector and taught C.C.D. Mother of David Jabaut and his wife Cynthia of East Haven, and Mary Jean Ames of North Haven. Grandmother of Tyler Jabaut, Tina, Jason, Michael and Stephen Ames. Great-Grandmother of Jenika Ames and Kiyah Chau. Predeceased by her sister Bernice McManus and a brother John Raynor.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning 9:00. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 9:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Church Development Fund, 6 Welch Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
