Rita Jacovelli Jacovino, 90, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of 69 years to Alexander Jacovino. Rita was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 23, 1923; daughter of the late Achilles and Julia Sanzare Jacovelli. Mother of Julia (Albert) Cervero, Alex (Suzanne) Jacovino and Nicholas Jacovino. Grandmother of Kristen (Rob) Marsoli, Sahra (David) LaScelle and Rachel (James) Maguire. Great-Grandmother of Braelyn and Eli LaScelle.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning, Nov. 30th at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 am. A mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
I am saddened to hear of Rita's passing. She was blessed in her 90 years with the love of family and friends. I remember her laughter, smile, and hospitality when I went to the Milford beach house with Nick. I also enjoyed dinner with her in her home in California too. She enjoyed life! Rest in peace.
