I will always treasure the friendship of a scholarly, brilliant, devotee of music and the Arts. I can only hope that the family and I can reconnect to celebrate the life of a true gentleman. Ed and I grew up as neighbors on Washington Avenue in New Haven, and then we became true friends and colleagues for many years. Alas, life has a way of creating distances, but he and his family have never been far from my thoughts.
Rest in peace Uncle Ed. We will miss you and cherish our fond memories of you always. xoxo
To Ro, Eddie, Val and their families.
We have fond memories of great times together in Falmouth and at family gatherings in Hamden and Moosup. We especially remember the trip to New York City with the kids. Ed really loved the beach and when we went quahoging I couldn't get him out of the water.
He was a great person with a wonderful sense of humor.
Our deepest sympathy to all.
Bob & Anita
To say that Ed and I grew up together is an understatement, we were inseparable from grammar school to college. When I moved away we still visited whenever I returned home. The fact that I will never see him again is a heartbreak.
Auntie Ro and Family,
So sorry to hear of Uncle Ed's passing. He always made you feel that he was glad to see you. A gracious and generous host. Always fun to talk sports and history with. He always treated me as an adult even when I wasn't. He was a kid at heart, Santa at Christmas, Hess trucks and model trains. You can't miss someone who will always be part of who you are. Nessun Dorma (None shall sleep) and now he does…
Eddie,
Very sorry for the loss of your father. He is in a better place. Anything we can do for you just ask. Once again very sorry for your loss. Tony & Julie
Just heard About Eddie's Passing this morning (Saturday) My sympathy to all of the Montesi Family.
Rosemarie and Family,
Thoughts and prayers to your family. I only knew Ed a short time here at Masonic, but the love he had for his family, for Rosemarie, was apparent. He will be missed.
