Roberta Mikolaitis Sampiere, 77, of North Haven, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Salvatore M. Sampiere. She was born in Derby on November 24, 1936; daughter of the late John and Josephine Boran Mikolaitis. Roberta had served as a communicant of St. Barnabas Church. Mother of Lisa (David) Visockis and Michele Sampiere. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother John Mikolaitis.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 11:00 with the Rev. Hugh MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peters Cemetery, Derby. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 9 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Haven Police and Firefighters Association, 8 Linsley Street, North Haven, CT 06473.
