Ernest J. Montipagni, 75, of North Haven, passed away peacefully Friday, July 27, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of Ann Marie Licciardi Montipagni . Born in New Haven on October 24, 1936, son of the late Ernest and May Carocari Montipagni. Ernie had worked as a dispatcher for the former Perri Sausage Company of New Haven for many years; he served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy; was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Father of Nicole (Greg) Smith of Newington and Ernest (Holly) Montipagni, Jr. of Walpole, MA. Grandfather of Caitlyn Marie & James G. Smith and Bailey A. Montipagni. Brother of Ronald Montipagni of Waterbury.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church, New Haven at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.

What can I say, I am so going to miss my wonderful Uncle Ernie, such fond memories growing up, he always made us laugh! We love you and will miss you so very much!
