Grace Ann Cottiero Buonocore, 79, of Ridge Road, North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, Waterbury. She was the wife of 55 years to Vincent Buonocore, Jr. Grace was born in New Haven on May 29, 1935; daughter of the late Philip and Julia Raiano Cottiero and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, New Haven. She had worked for the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, the SNET Company, later for her husband at Core Ltd. for 30 years and was a teaching assistant at Welch Annex School for 12 years. Grace was an avid tennis player and was a member of the Ridge Top Club; she enjoyed swimming and walking. Mother of Michele (Robert) Klimczak, Vincent Buonocore III and Felicity (Michael) Celentano. Grandmother of David Kimel, Grace and Chloe Klimczak, Lauren and Michael Celentano. Sister of Christine (Joseph) Massa and Anthony (Anne) Cottiero. Also survived by many loving and caring friends.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Monday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Vitas Innovative Hospice, Inc., c/o St. Mary’s Hospital, 56 Franklin St., Xavier 4, Waterbury, CT.

Dearest Vinnie- I just found out about Grace's passing. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I recently lost my mom and dad and I can relate to what you must be feeling.
