Robert M. Pisani, Sr, 79, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Dolores Wasilewski Pisani. Robert was born in New Haven on October 20, 1936; son of the late Matteo and Carmela DiCerbo Pisani; was a graduate of Hillhouse High School; served his country faithfully in the US Navy and had worked at the former Granfield Stationary in New Haven. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus Carmel Council of Hamden for 51 years and enjoyed playing on their bowling and golf leagues; was an avid UCONN Women’s basketball and NY Yankees fan and was a devoted parishioner/ usher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Father of Robert M. Pisani, Jr. and his wife Anita, Paul T. Pisani and the late Jeffrey J. Pisani. Grandfather of Tyler A. and Nicholas M. Pisani. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Rafaella Ferraro, Madelyn Sambrook, Claire Lemay, and brothers Salvatore and Eugene Pisani.
His funeral procession will leave North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
