Christina R. “Tina†Stein, 61, of Hamden, passed away September 9, 2012 at St. Raphael’s Hospital, New Haven. She was the wife of Roger F. Stein. Born in New Haven on April 15, 1951; daughter of the late William and Hanna McCluskey Muir. Christina had worked as a teacher for many years in the New Haven School System until her retirement. Mother of the late Scott Stein. Sister of James Gillan of Conway, SC, Thomas Muir of North Haven, Mary Persano of Orange and the late John Muir. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Montowese Baptist Church, 201 Quinnipiac Avenue, North Haven, Thursday afternoon at 2:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 2080 Silas Deane Highway 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. The North Haven Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
My deepest sympathy to the family of Tina Stein. I worked with Tina for many years at East Rock School. She was a very caring and dedicated Teacher to all the many students she taught.
