Anthony J. Lengvinis, Sr, 89, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marguarite Lantieri Lengvinis. Anthony was born in Kulpmont, PA on March 24, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Rosalia Mockpetris Lengvinis and had served his country faithfully in the US Army during WWII. Father of Anthony J. Lengvinis, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth. Grandfather of Matthew Lengvinis. Brother of Genevieve Pesarchick and the late Mary Zinke, Ona Boyd and Theresa Breck.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 8:30. Family and friends may call from 7:30 to 8:30. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 9:00. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
