Alfredo D’Alessandris, 63, of Orlando, FL formerly of East Haven, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 in East Haven. He was the husband of 40 years to Francesca Ann Bevilacqua D’Alessandris. Alfredo was born in Patrica, province of Frosinone, Italy on August 29, 1951; son of Francesca Rossini D’Alessandris and the late Luigi D’Alessandris; he was a member of the Carabinieri in Italy; came to this country at age 23 settling in Hamden, moving to East Haven for many years until moving to Orlando, FL in 1997. Alfredo started working for the former Pond Lily, New Haven then was a meat cutter for the former Pegnataro Grocery Stores and later had worked for the Textile Prints, Branford until leaving due to illness. When he was healthy he enjoyed all the great Italian traditions of making wine, sausage and bread just to name a few. Father of Luigi D’Alessandris and his fiancé Lisa DelMonte, Lisa and Angela D’Alessandris. Grandfather of Anthony Michael D’Alessandris. Brother of Angelo (Joann) D’Alessandris. Son-in-law of Maria Bevilacqua and the late Giovanni Bevilacqua. Brother-in-law of Joseph (Cristina Fazio) Bevilacqua, Salvatore Bevilacqua, Frank (Tricia) Bevilacqua. Uncle of Alfredo and Angelo D'Alessandris, Francesca (Casey) Hart. Great-Uncle of Isabella, Addison & Michael Hart, Johnny, Salvatore, Frankie, Johnny, Joey and Maria Bevilacqua. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church, North Haven at 10:00. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
