Michael A. Urbano, 67, of Branford formerly of Warwick Lane, East Haven passed away peacefully on Monday October 3, 2016 at the St. Raphael campus/Yale New Haven with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda Marie Ferrigno Urbano. Michael was born in Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy on March 9, 1949; son of the late Domenico and Genoveffa Sorbo Urbano; had worked as a carpenter for many years and was a Boston Red Sox fan. Father of Jennifer (Charles) Marino, Michael and Christopher Urbano, Gina Marie. Step-father of Jennifer and Anthony Piccirillo. Grandfather of Vincent (Christina) Castellon IV. Brother of Michelina Mazzarella, Amalia (Joseph) DeLucia, Jean (Richard) Kopjanski and the late Petronilla Sorrentino, Joseph and Mario Urbano. Brother-in-law of Roberta Urbano and Pelligrino Sorrentino. Also survived by his first wife and lifelong friend Betty Doiron and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a niece, Tracy Urbano and nephew, Vincent DeLucia. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Dr. Marianne Vahey for all her love and compassion and to the staff of the M.I.C.U. at St. Raphael’s campus/ Yale New Haven.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 9:45. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Branford at 10:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

To Mike's family, I was so sorry to learn of his passing. Mike was a great guy and I always enjoyed the fun times we had together. I pray that he is resting in peace and I am sure Linda was there to greet him at Heaven's door. You should all be proud of the good hearted man he was. Rest In Peace, dear Mike.
