Marylou Bruno Davis, 49, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of Scott B. Davis. Born in New Haven on June 13, 1963, daughter of Theresa Ematrudo Bruno of New Haven and the late Alfred Theodore Bruno. Marylou had worked in food service for the City of New Haven; she loved cooking for her family and loved her children and granddaughter unconditionally. Mother of Scott Robert Davis, Lisa Marie Davis and Julia Theresa Bruno Davis all of New Haven. Grandmother of Melayna Falero. Sister of Donna (Giuliano) Bruno Demarini of North Haven and William Gerard Bruno of New Haven. Aunt of Gina and William Bruno, Claudia Cooper and Karina Davis. Also survived by many other family members and friends. Predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert Park Davis and Jean Marjorie Boyd Davis. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You†to Dr. Thomas Rutherford, his team and the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital for the special care given to Marylou.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Avenue, New Haven on Thursday morning, October 18th at 10:00 to attend a mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I have to say that Marylou was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
She fought this horrible disease with such a beautiful inner spirit, strength, dignity and grace…truly an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

I remember back in the day, when me, you and Karen would be at Carols house getting ready to out for the night. We had alot of laughs together. You always had that big beautiful smile on. Even though I live in SC and haven’t seen you in a while, I thought about you and your family every day and I feel very saddened by your loss. God will take good care of your family! I worked with MaryLou at Macys. She worked across from me in the Vault and she was a lovely, very caring person to family and friends. She went out of her way to help people. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
