Paul J. Karkut, 94, of Hartford Turnpike, North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Stephanie D. Naparkowsky Karkut. Mr. Karkut had worked for Pratt & Whitney for many years retiring as a General Foreman; he was a member of the Wallingford Country Club; enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards with the Tuesday night card group. Father of Nancy DeLucia of Branford, Karen (Joseph) Lanouette of North Haven. Grandfather of Joshua Kosloski, Christopher Lanouette and the late Jennifer Lanouette. Great-Grandfather of Paige Jennifer Lanouette. Also survived by his friends of the Tuesday night card group. Predeceased by his son-in-law Anthony DeLucia, one brother and three sisters.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue on Wednesday morning, October 17th at 11:00 to attend a mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
