Assunta Calabrese Esposito, 88, of Port Orange, FL, formerly of North Haven and Orange, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Frank L. Esposito, Sr. Born in New Haven on December 21, 1925; daughter of the late Catello and Maria DiLieto Calabrese. She had worked as a school secretary for the Orange School System, was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and was a member of the Red Hat Society and the “Lunch Bunch”. Mother of Doreen (Peter) DeMorro, Karen (Robert) Brown and Francis (Joyce) Esposito, Jr. Grandmother of Robert, Justin, Nicole, Richard, Ashley, Jessica and Anthony. Great grandmother of Anthony, Jasmin, Gabriel, Andreana and Idalyz. Sister of Angelina Rosabianca, Ann Sagnella, Andy Calabrese, Pete (Celeste) Calabrese and the late Joseph Calabrese, Mary DeMatteo, Andrieanna Costanzo and Connie Steele.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven Tuesday morning at 9:30.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Therese Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery, Orange.  The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
