Aileen M.L. Basilicato Kolinsky of 555 Pool Road, North Haven passed away on January 22, 2015.  Born May 21, 1925; daughter of the late Anthony N. Basilicato, Sr. and Mary Grasso Basilicato, formerly of Sackett Point Road in North Haven.  Wife of the late Bernard Kolinsky.  Predeceased by a sister, Alice Cave and brothers Anthony, Vincent and Alphonse Basilicato.  Mrs. Kolinsky was a member of the St. Barnabas Church in North Haven since 1938.  She was active in the St. Barnabas Choir.  She was also a member of the St. Barnabas Social Action Club for nine years, and she taught religious classes at Montowese School.  She published a book entitled “I am glad just to be the girl I used to be” under the name of Helena Carter.  Mrs. Kolinsky also performed with the Quinnipiac Theatre and The Company as a singer and dancer.  She was active in the North Haven Art Guild for 19 years.  Mrs. Kolinsky performed for Thomas Maher, Jr. who was the talent coordinator for the New Haven Register.  She also performed at the Montowese Convalescent Home, St. Raphael Hospital, Clintonville Convalescent Home and Stephen Woods.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:30.  Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 am.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
