Eileen Mary Carroll McGuire, 86, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Saint Raphael campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Edmund J. McGuire. Eileen was born in New Haven on November 5, 1929; daughter of the late William J. and Flora Jamieson Carroll. Mother of Terry McGuire (Kevin Thom) and the late Eileen "Lee" Marcarelli. Mother-in-law of Stephen Marcarelli (Karen Bernardo). Grandmother of Shannon Bogucki Cushing (Craig), Dr. Jessica Bogucki, Melissa, Megan and Matthew Marcarelli, and Kacey Sullivan. Great-Grandmother of Colby and Lyla Cushing. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Eileen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother , sister and friend, devoted to her family whom she loved unconditionally.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Wednesday morning, May 18th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Center, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
