Robert W. Wing, 76, of Wallingford passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Ellen Flynn Wing. Robert was born in New Haven on May 29, 1940; son of the late Ralph and Rose Lamonaca Wing; had worked as an Air Tester and Balancer for the James E. Brennan Company for many years until his retirement. Robert was an avid fisherman and tennis player. Father of William (Susan) Wing, Brenda J. Wing and Sharon (Timothy) Chester. Grandfather of Nicholas (Suzanne) Wing, Shandi & Bryan Chester, Amanda & Maegan Wing and the late Daniel Wing. Great- Grandfather of Daniel Wing. Brother of Richard (Susan) Wing, Ronald Wing, Roger (Monika) Wing and the late Ralph Wing. Also survived by his former wife Nancy Wing-Brockett, several step-children, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his second wife Patricia Wing.
Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B Southington, CT 06489 or a charity of one’s choice.

I will be there, see you tomorrow evening, though you won't remember, you will be overwhelmed with the love and comfort of so many, and the deep sadness you must endure. Bob, as I knew him, was a fabulous man, kind, generous, loving, outgoing, welcoming, and a great cook, and of course so much more.
