Alexander Jacovino, 95, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the St. Raphael campus of Yale-New Haven. He was the husband of the late Rita Jacovelli Jacovino.  Alexander was born in Waterbury on February 19, 1920; son of the late Nicholas and Mary Dempero Jacovino; served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WW II; had worked for the former Brock Hall Dairy and later for Murphy Outdoor Advertising both of Waterbury until his retirement.  Alexander was a member of the Painters Union, the Teamsters Local #443, an avid NBA fan and card player.  Father of Julia (Albert) Cervero, Alex (Suzanne) Jacovino and Nicholas Jacovino.  Grandfather of Kristin (Rob) Marsoli, Sahra (David) LaSchelle and Rachel (James) Maguire.  Great-Grandfather of Braelyn & Eli LaSchelle, and Maxwell James Marsoli.  Predeceased by his siblings Susan Annes, Vincent and John Jacovino.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 10:30 am. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 am.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow  in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Military honors will be rendered in front of church immediately following the mass. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT  06405
