Edna Mary Remian Wilson, 84, of North Haven, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Howard August Wilson. Edna was born in New Haven on September 11, 1930; daughter of the late Walter and Mary Grabowski Remian. She had worked for the West Haven School System for many years retiring as a Cafeteria Manager. Edna loved to cook and bake, holidays will never be the same without her; all of her holiday traditions will be carried on but she will be truly missed. Loving mother of Karen Boyle and her husband James. Mother-in-law of Catherine Wilson. Grandmother of Shannon (David) Mosher, Jennifer (Philip) Graniello, James Boyle, Meghan and Kathleen Wilson. She enjoyed her great-grandchildren David Mosher, Philip Graniello, James Boyle, Hannah Graniello and Aiden Mosher. Sister of Elizabeth Pavlisko, Maryann Wilson, John Remain and the late Edwin, Walter and Richard Remian. Predeceased by her son John Wilson.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Saturday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, New Haven at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in the St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
