Robert E. Frank, 79, of North Haven, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of 56 years to Marilyn Charbonneau Frank. Born in New Haven on March 22, 1933; son of the late James and Frances Marvin Frank. Robert served his country faithfully as a Corporal in the Military Police of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and while stationed in Chicago he would meet many of the USO’s famous movie stars including Betty Grabel and the whole 1952 New York Yankee Team. Robert had worked for Pratt & Whitney for many years retiring as a foreman/supervisor; was a longtime parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church; was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. Father of Sharon (John) Palmeri of North Haven, Robert (Suzanne) Frank of Northford, Susan (John) Puzycki of North Haven and Stephen (Kate) Frank of Wallingford. Also survived by nine beloved grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings Margaret Thomas, Ruth Recore, Dorothy Frank, Barbara Warner, Frederick, Russell, James and Raymond Frank.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm.
